Ok first, huge thanks to the translators who have worked on these volumes so far. I have read the earlier chapters on other web translations and I wish I had come here first for the PDF versions. All of them are well done and some could even pass for professional work - but that stops with volume 10. Just compare it to the other volume tagged by the same individual (vol. 2) and the differences are like night and day. I can't help but feel it was either incredibly rushed or not done by the same translator(s). It appears as if some parts were corrected, but very very very few.
The genders are completely backward 99.9% of the time, with male characters referred to as she/her and females as he/him. This happens with every male and female character throughout the entire volume. It's too much.
Beyond that much of the content is extremely confusing and makes absolutely no sense much of the time without some heavy on the spot rewording. I have never been this frustrated and unable to read any other volume in the series. I tried to sort through it as I read but honestly, it has ruined the story for me since I have no idea what is going on two-thirds of the time as the English is more broken than a New York cabby's.
Because of the clarity of all the previous volumes, I knew exactly what was happening and why. Not anymore.
One example not even close to the most confusing...
However, Ichinose is not necessarily a student who will need a voice of
praise. Besides that, he doesn't will not easily buy the sound of praise with
points. So I won't suggest anything.
The "song", "sound", and "voice" of praise that appears dozens of times is actually the "vote" of praise. It has both been corrected in rare circumstances but only a few times.
At eleven o'clock at night, I invited Ichinose to my room.
It's not surprising, Ichinose will refuse, but he doesn't show rejection.
"It doesn't matter at all, but it's not unusual to get an invitation from
Ayanokouji-kun."
Hmmm...so he invites Ichinose to his room at 11 at night (pretty sure for the first time AND way past curfew) and it is
not unusual? M

It is hard enough to follow conversations in many light novels because they often run long with no identifier as to the speaker, so confusing gender throughout the story makes things even harder to follow...I cannot be the only one.
I have read (and walked away from) hundreds of translations and obviously this is not the only series that has appeared this way (I'm sure we have all seen
much much much worse)
but this is one of the better fan translated series to be sure. Asian language to English language translations are hard as hell no matter how you look at it...but other volumes (in this series) lack this issue, at least to this extent.
Compared to the earlier volumes the tenth one is
not ready for consumption. Not even close. Please take your time in the future, we'll be happier for the wait no matter how long. It'll still be faster than any official translations and since we have to go through advertising sites to get the content you are generating revenue so take your time. Please.
